PRESENTERS

Julie Hable, MBA RHIA Operations Manager @ Mayo Clinic

- Oversee Record Content Management Section within HIMS Operations which encompasses 220 employees across multiple locations (AZ,FL, MCHS, RST) with 2 managers as direct reports.
- Report to Enterprise HIMS Operations Administrator
- Implementation of OnBase, Epic workflows across the Enterprise (AZ, FL, MCHS, Rochester)
- Archive: implemented back-scanning workflows for paper medical records, created proposal for consolidation of Mayo medical records

 

Candice J. Ramey, MLS RHIA Health Information Management Manager @ Mayo Clinic

Candice J. Ramey is currently a manager of the Record Content Management section of the Health Information Management Services department at Mayo Clinic. Ms. Ramey is based out of Phoenix, Arizona, and manages a virtual team of over 110 document imaging staff for all Mayo Clinic sites. In her role, Ms. Ramey not only provides leadership and guidance to her team in line with the company’s values and initiatives of putting the needs of the patient first but also is instrumental in finding efficiencies through productivity and quality monitoring. Ms. Ramey is the Health Information Internship Director for Arizona and remains dedicated to students furthering their education through providing a robust training experience. As a veteran herself, Ms. Ramey has served in the capacity of secretary and most recently serves as vice-chair of the Yellow Ribbon Veteran Employee Resource Group at Mayo Clinic. Ms. Ramey’s focus and initiative are to engage with professionals across the organization to seek out ways to support members of the armed forces- both past and present in addition to their loved ones with the support of Mayo Clinic’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Department.

Ms. Ramey earned a Master of Legal Studies, concentrated in Health Law and Policy from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration. Ms. Ramey is a Registered Health Information Administrator through The American Health Information Management Association. Ms. Ramey sits on the board of directors for AzHIMA as the Director of Education, dedicated to fostering the professional development of members through continuing education opportunities as well as co-chair of the social media committee.

MVCC’s Health Information Technology AAS degree program is offered completely online and prepares students for both transfer and immediate entry into the workforce as a health information professional responsible for maintaining the accessibility, accuracy, and quality of patient health information. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
