Jennifer Rowlands is an instructional designer with over 10 years of experience. She has found the accessibility guidelines the training industry has adopted do not meet the needs of people with learning and developmental disabilities. In an effort to be inclusive, Jennifer has researched the concept of universal design and how it can be applied to adult learning. This idea has since expanded to all the ways we communicate with each other. In this session, Jennifer will highlight small changes you can make to allow people of different cognitive abilities to better understand and retain the information you’re trying to share. You will also receive a checklist of guidelines you can begin applying immediately.
