For decades, healthcare has layered new technology onto outdated revenue cycle processes, digitizing inefficiency instead of redesigning it. This session challenges that approach by asking what happens when processes are built around today’s technology rather than yesterday’s constraints. This presentation invites health information professionals to reimagine the revenue cycle from the ground up, exploring how AI, interoperability, and data governance can streamline operations, reshape workflows, and redefine administrative roles. Participants will learn how to design adaptive, technology-led processes and position HIM professionals as architects of reinvention, not just implementers of automation.
